28 people from 12 different countries have met in Ukraine in order to share experiences and learn from each other about working with youth.. and meanwhile, to learn how to make and use video relevant for youth work.
We have spent together 7 days, starting from curious looks and high expectations, going through being-on-time-crisis and working-together hard times till we reached happy ending with 4 movies made together for youth.
Training "MEDIA SKILLS: Connecting Youth with Youth" was more than just a training on videomaking skills. It was a place for dedicated youth workers to meet, learn and grow. The nights were sometimes even longer than the daily programme... needed, though in order to learn about each other, about video editing and about ourselves.
What I have learned in this amazing week is, that through YMCA I can get to know beautiful countries, beautiful people, learn practical skills, learn about myself and all this, in a nut shell, brings beautiful results.
