YMCA Europe Festival 2008 – Latest News

The Festival is taking shape! In November different groups met in the YMCA Europe Training Centre to intensify various preparatory tasks for the festival. The YMCA Europe Training Centre in Litomysl welcomed the Programme Group Leaders and offered them a platform to get an overview of the stage of the programme preparation, and the possibility of individual meetings. This exchange of the different group leaders and the overview of the preparations up to date gave an even stronger incentive and clearer outline for the programme groups to continue their preparatory work. You can be excited about the unique plans for the Morning and the Evening Show, for Global Youth Work, Jungschar and Scouting, Sports, Ten Sing, Workshops, the City Action, Global Village and EXPO-Area, Child Care, Outdoor Education, Worship Night, Late Night Programmes and more highlights.

The Festival has its Faces! 15 young people that will be on stage during the festival to present the different parts of the programme gathered several days in the YMCA Europe Training Centre to improve their presentation skills. They are a brilliant group of youngsters, who will give the festival their faces – all unique, from very different backgrounds and with their individual story, but all one group through the motivation of being on stage and of making the festival a fantastic experience for the participants, where people can encounter each other and Jesus Christ.
