Digital equity

YMCA Europe is committed to promoting social justice and equity for all, including access to digital technology and resources. We run several digital equity projects aimed at reducing the digital divide and providing disadvantaged communities across Europe with access to essential digital resources.

Our focus is on promoting digital inclusion and improving digital skills among young people and young adults from marginalised communities. YMCA digital hubs, supported by HP, offer training courses, workshops, and resources to help young people develop digital competencies and enhance their employability.

Through the YMCA Mobile Hub concept, we aim to reduce the digital divide in rural areas by providing mobile units equipped with computers and internet access. These units travel to remote areas, offering digital training and resources to those who might not otherwise have access to them.

In the “AlwaysON for Youth” Erasmus+ project, we have created a series of tools to support youth workers and educators in developing creative learning journeys for their beneficiaries. You can access our free resources and improve your expertise in digital youth work.

Overall, our digital equity projects are making a significant difference in the lives of people who lack access to digital resources. By promoting digital inclusion and providing training and resources to disadvantaged communities, these projects are bridging the digital divide and helping to create a more equitable society for all.
