Digital equity

YMCA Europe is committed to promoting social justice and equity for all, including access to digital technology and resources. The organization has several digital equity projects that aim to reduce the digital divide and provide access to digital resources for disadvantaged communities across Europe.

Our focus is on promoting digital inclusion and improving digital skills among youth and young adults from marginalized communities. YMCA digital hubs provide training courses, workshops, and resources to help young people develop digital competencies and increase their employability.

Through the YMCA Mobile Hub concept, we aim to reduce the digital divide in rural areas by providing mobile units equipped with computers and internet access. These units travel to remote areas and provide digital training and resources to people who might not otherwise have access to them.

In the “AlwaysON for Youth” Erasmus+ project, we have created a series of tools to support youth workers and educators in developing creative learning journeys for their beneficiaries. Access our free resources and increase your expertise in digital youth work.

Overall, YMCA Europe’s digital equity projects are making a real difference in the lives of people who lack access to digital resources. By promoting digital inclusion and providing training and resources to disadvantaged communities, these projects are bridging the digital divide and creating a more equitable society for all.
