It has been a great privilege for us to join the World YMCA team to co-create and design the impact measurement framework for Vision 2030.
The meeting took place in Geneva, on 30 April-3 May 2024 with the involvement of National YMCAs and area organisations.
The “Learning, Innovation & Impact” (LII) Task Force Group is one of four Support Teams for Vision 2030 implementation. Other teams organise their work around movement strengthening and strategic alignment, resource mobilisation, fundraising, and advocacy.
The meeting was hosted and organised by World YMCA, and YMCA England & Wales as the Champion Movement, which deserves a generous round of applause and our consideration for a high level of commitment and proactivity in delivering the sessions.
The global team brainstormed on impact measurement framework and key indicators outlined the theory of change for YMCA as an Impact-led organisation and the principles guiding it, and discussed the importance of the enhanced organisational culture which embeds the fabrics of impact planning, monitoring and evaluation to all its processes.
The Eco-system and holistic approach is seen as the key one connecting relevant local work, pillar dimensions and systematic global changes. We always need to know why we do things.
The program also incorporated presentations of good practices around impact measurement, which gave an understanding of the scope of tools and approaches around the globe.
The Team is looking forward to continuing its work online, connecting all the dots with other teams working for Vision 2030 implementation and presenting the ideas at Mombasa Summit 2024.
YMCA Europe is happy to contribute to building a more Impactful and Impact-led YMCA!
