25 February 2016 the first event of the initiative was organized as an informational seminar for the partners: authorities, educational establishments, Mass Media’s representatives. The content of the seminar included presentations of YMCA Belarus, information about the idea of the initiative, common planning of the Youth Camp in June 2016.
The Youth Camp will become a core event of the initiative. It will gather near 50 young people form Lida district and include them in a variety of educational and cultural events, demonstrating possibilities and joy of non-formal education.
The event will take place in Ponemontsy in YMCA Belarus Youth Center.
By June 2016 two training rooms will be ready for exploitation. After the end of the project YMCA Belarus will continue searching funds for renovation of the building and promotion of life-long education at the regional level.
The initiative is supported by the EU and UNDP project "Support to local development in the Republic of Belarus".
