YMCA Europe is committed to the principles of diversity and inclusion on both a strategic and an operational basis. Diversity and inclusion are core to the YMCA movement. In keeping with the commitment, YMCA Europe strives to be inclusive: to value and reflect the pluralism of society, and to engage and consult with those affected by our actions.
The Executive Committee of YMCA Europe states in the strongest terms our commitment to inclusivity and diversity and our ongoing determination to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all people, regardless of any protected characteristics (incl. age, gender, gender reassignment, being married or in a civil partnership, being pregnant or on maternity leave, disability, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation). Doing so we emphatically and unequivocally endorse the YMCA Europe Statement on Safe space (attached below). Moreover, we reject the spirit and logic behind any form of discrimination on any such grounds as those listed above.
