Hosted at YMCA Gard Pont d’Avignon, the workshop brought together youth leaders, educators, and community representatives to discuss how technology, education, and inclusion can work hand in hand to empower the next generation. A brand new chapter in our joint Digital Equity imitative.
Expanding Digital Skilling with YMCA Digital Hubs & HP HOPE
A key focus of the discussions was the ongoing development of YMCA Digital Hubs and Spaces under the HP HOPE partnership. These hubs provide access to both hardware and digital content, helping bridge the digital divide and expand opportunities for learning and personal growth.
By creating environments where young people can build digital skills, the initiative continues to foster digital equity and inclusion at a local level.
Mobility and Exchange through Erasmus+
Participants also explored how Erasmus+ opportunities can further enhance youth mobility, intercultural exchange, and non-formal learning. Such programmes are vital in strengthening the sense of European belonging while equipping young people with the competencies needed to thrive in an increasingly connected world.
European Projects and Collaboration
Beyond the digital and educational themes, the workshop served as a platform to brainstorm new European project ideas and partnerships. Local YMCAs in France were encouraged to take the lead in developing initiatives that reflect the unique needs of their communities, ensuring that innovation and inclusion continue to grow from the ground up.
Strengthening Local Impact through Cooperation
This gathering was a clear demonstration of the power of collaboration and the value of new ideas. Moving forward, YMCA Europe will continue to support these efforts in close cooperation with YMCA France, ensuring that local YMCAs and partners across the country can access the same opportunities as their peers throughout Europe.
