Hope in Action – PulseZ local event – empowering prospective journalists and young content creators kicks off creatively at scenic Burg Wernfels, in Germany.
What would you say if the whole world listened to you for four minutes? This question opened the PulseZ workshop days at Burg Wernfels – and immediately sparked imagination and purpose.
On Sunday and Monday (August 3rd & 4th, 2025), the workshop Voice & Vision – Create your Message took place. The “Share your Hope” session, as part of the PulseZ loccal event, brought together 134 young people from Germany and China.
What followed was more than a creative program: it was the beginning of a vibrant dialogue about hope, media literacy, advocacy in action, as well as self-expression, and utilising future-proof techniques in story-telling.
The day started with an energizing “Life Story” warm-up and a presentation of the PulseZ vision – encouraging participants to use their voice to shape a message of hope for Europe.
In 14 workshops – from AI-generated music to “peace walls,” calligraphy, dance, friendship bracelets, and short video production – young people crafted their personal messages to the world. They learned about the PulseZ platform and fantastic opportunities such a project has to offer them, as well as how their stories can make a resounding impact.
The program combined non-formal education, creativity, and teamwork, encouraging young people from diverse backgrounds to express their hopes and visions. The results were showcased in a closing exhibition, “The Castle Becomes a Gallery”, with selected works shared on social media and entered into the PulseZ Europe-wide competition.
PulseZ offers more than a space for expression; it`s a hub for skill development in digital journalism, helping young creators refine their craft. From learning creative techniques and storytelling to understanding entrepreneurial approaches, participants will connect with experienced correspondents from across Europe, gaining invaluable insights into the media world.
