Greenhill YMCA is excited to announce that the recruitment for their January 2026 Volunteer Intake is now officially open. Each year, they welcome international volunteers aged 18-28 to join their year-long programme, which provides a unique opportunity for personal growth, intercultural exchange, and professional development.
The programme is especially suited to young people who wish to enhance their outdoor learning skills, explore new experiences, and contribute to meaningful roles within our centre.
Volunteers may apply for one of the following areas:
- Outdoor Learning & Educational Instruction
- Food and Service Operations (Catering)
- Administration & Group Host
- Housekeeping & Facilities Support
- Communications
Greenhill YMCA has a long-standing tradition of welcoming volunteers from around the world every January and September, and they take pride in the vibrant community that has developed from these exchanges. Whether you’re looking for a full programme of activities or a more laid-back stay, Greenhill YMCA designs personalised experiences tailored to each group’s unique needs and budget.
By the end of the program, you’ll feel more confident and prepared to take on life’s next steps — whether that means starting or completing college, pursuing employment opportunities, living independently, or exploring the world. At Greenhill YMCA, volunteers live and learn together as part of an intentional community, with access to additional training opportunities and potential certifications.
All Volunteers Receive:
- Accommodation – Self catering and free of charge
- Work Schedule – 10-12 sessions per week ( days a week) – Morning, afternoons and evenings
- Weekly Salary – £65.00 per week
