Creativity and storytelling took center stage in Slovakia as the YMCA team hosted a series of PulseZ workshops, empowering the next generation of media makers.
From Bratislava to Martin, students dived into the world of video creation, transforming ideas into stories that matter. The first session of the events took place on the 27th of September and continued throughout October.
In Bratislava, the PulseZ Video Workshop offered hands-on training for aspiring filmmakers. Led by industry experts, participants learned how to film, edit, and tell compelling stories.

The workshop included practical sessions on filming techniques, group challenges, and guidance from professionals including Martin Maska, PulseZ Editor-in-Chief, and representatives from Európsky Dialóg. Attendees experimented with new tricks and formats, building confidence and practical skills that go beyond the classroom.
Meanwhile, at the PulseZ Videoworkshop in Martin, participants explored the full spectrum of content creation-from brainstorming concepts to filming and post-production.

Through their lenses, they captured values like community, collaboration, and support, proving that storytelling can be a powerful tool for connection and change.
Among the participants, three outstanding media students were selected to represent Slovakia at the upcoming international PulseZ event in Brussels, highlighting the talent and dedication of young Slovak creators.

The local events were more than just workshops—they were celebrations of curiosity, collaboration, and creativity. Participants left inspired, equipped with new tools, and motivated to use storytelling as a vehicle for social impact.
The PulseZ initiative in Slovakia is a shining example of how empowering youth voices can turn creativity into a force for change, fostering a generation of young media makers ready to leave their mark across Europe. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the participants for their energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning.
PulseZ offers more than a space for expression; it`s a hub for skill development in digital journalism, helping young creators refine their craft. From learning creative techniques and storytelling to understanding entrepreneurial approaches, participants will connect with experienced correspondents from across Europe, gaining invaluable insights into the media world.
