In many corners of today’s Europe conflicts touch young peoples’ lives on every-day basis and at the level of their basic needs, especially their need (and right) for security. The YMCA Movement, faithful to its historical roots and profile, does evidently remain with the drive and the capacity to offer sustainable assistance to those who struggle through those conflicts.
True impact in the YMCA peace work in Europe can be measured as an end result of many factors produced by the different levels of our Movement – local, national, European and global. Thus we at the YMCA Europe have come up with this initiative to hold a pan-European seminar, where young people from all over Europe could come together to share their experiences and competences in peace work and to learn how to capture and communicate its impact.
