Unify 2012: First European YMCA Christian Mission Conference in Northampton, UK
12-15 January 2012, Northampton (UK) hosted the very first YMCA Christian Mission Conference – Unify 2012, bringing together 120 YMCA staff and volunteers from across Europe.
The event provided space to share experiences, gain inspiration, and explore how Christian emphasis work can be strengthened within the YMCA movement.
The programme included keynote speakers, workshops, seminars, exhibitions of resources, and visits to local YMCAs. Participants valued the opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate the richness of European Christian culture, while also discussing the potential for a European YMCA Christian Mission Network.
Unify 2012 laid the foundations for what has since become an annual gathering of young leaders and staff, combining fellowship, practical tools, and renewed vision for YMCA’s mission in Europe.
