During the time he also visited and get acquainted with the state of YMCA building on the Karpatska street. They discussed the issues young people are currently facing in Slovakia and the opportunities that YMCA in Slovakia offers. YMCA building in Bratislava can significantly contribute to their further development, either by potential income from the rent or by directly providing space for young people.
Juan Simoes Iglesias expressed continuous strategic interest of European Alliance of YMCA that the situation around the building is stabilized in favor of work for the YMCA as soon as possible. He expressed concerns about the still unresolved ongoing lawsuit but also hope for an early resolution of the situation. He also expressed support of European partners to YMCA in Slovakia representatives.
