Have you heard of YMCA Europe before? Would you like to experience YMCA Europe in its condensed form? Would you like to have your say? Would you like to create an international project in cooperation with different YMCAs throughout Europe?
If your answer to the above questions is YES, than we definitely invite you to join our YES Seminar
“Connecting Local with Pan-European”
The aim of YES (YMCA European Spectrum) is to bring a full spectrum of opinions from YMCA-youth from across Europe to the place where decisions about YMCA Europe are made.
We love to keep young people, who are involved in YMCAs in Europe, informed about what is going on in YMCA Europe, show them how they can get involved and how they can together, thanks to the European connections, and create projects that are relevant to their own local youth work.
What is the meeting?
“Connecting Local with Pan-European” is an 8 days partnership-building seminar taking a place next to the General Assembly of YMCA Europe. The meeting is focused on sharing problems the YMCA communities face and sharing good practices how to solve the problems. One of the main aims is to introduce YMCA Europe function and its possibilities to young people who are currently involved in local and national YMCAs.
What are the aims of the meeting?
- to introduce YMCA Europe to young people active in their local and national YMCAs
- to share and discover common realities of their lives and their voluntary activities
- to recognize possibilities to cooperate and learn from each other
- to create common solutions to common issues
- to see how the work of YMCA Europe influences youth work of YMCAs
- to find out how young people can influence the work of YMCA Europe
- to create, together with young people from other countries, activities and projects relevant to their own needs and desires
