YMCA continues its commitment to amplifying youth voices at the heart of European policymaking within the European Parliament initiatives.
Representatives Olga Lukina and Dragoș Tarța took part in the Youth Network Event at the European Parliament, where they joined fellow youth leaders and institutional representatives to discuss how to further empower young people as active contributors to democratic life.
The event focused on strengthening collaboration between civil society and EU institutions to promote active youth participation, social equity, and transparent communication about the European Union’s Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), a key financial instrument shaping the future of youth programs, social inclusion initiatives, and community development across Europe.
Discussions explored how the MFF provides invaluable opportunities for youth organizations to thrive by supporting projects that foster education, participation, and resilience at grassroots level.
A strong message emerged from the exchanges: better communication and partnership between European institutions and youth-led organizations are essential to building a more transparent, participatory, and inclusive Europe.
By making EU programs and funding structures more visible and easier to navigate, the Union can reinforce trust and ensure that young citizens remain at the center of its long-term vision.
Through its active engagement in such policy dialogues, YMCA continues to bridge the gap between institutions and communities, advocating for policies that support equitable opportunities, strengthen trust in democratic processes, and empower every young person to shape Europe’s future.
