On Friday 28th, YMCA Europe took part in Building Bridges, an event organised by IFM-SEI (International Falcon Movement – Socialist Educational International) focused on supporting youth organisations and NGOs as they navigate today’s challenging environment, from funding limitations to staff burnout.
Throughout this one-day gathering, we explored the struggles many organisations are currently facing, including difficulties in securing international partnerships, funding, and volunteer management.

Participants heard directly from Civil Society Organisations representatives from around the world, who shared how their contexts shape the obstacles they encounter.
The programme also included insights from institutional actors, offering guidance on how to engage with institutions more effectively today.

The event proved highly enriching, providing valuable takeaways on how youth organisations can strengthen their resilience, address common challenges, and work together toward sustainable solutions.
YMCA Europe remains committed to building strong relationships with other youth organisations and key stakeholders, working together to create meaningful impact in our communities, for young people, and for the future.
