The Friends of YMCA Europe campaign was launched at the General Assembly in May 2025. Eight months on, the results are clear and encouraging.
So far, 40 individuals from 15 countries have made pledges totalling €27,364. Contributions vary in size, but the message is consistent: there is trust in the work of YMCA Europe and commitment to its long-term future.
This support matters. It helps strengthen YMCA Europe’s financial sustainability and reduces dependency on short-term funding. The campaign’s target is €90,000 by the end of 2028. Progress is solid, but the goal is not yet reached.
How your contribution works:
- Donations made through this campaign are not spent immediately. They are placed permanently in the George Williams Fund, YMCA Europe’s endowment fund.
- The capital remains intact.
- The fund is invested.
- Only the annual revenues are used to support YMCA Europe’s activities.
This means your donation contributes year after year, creating a lasting multiplier effect. The development and performance of the George Williams Fund are reported annually to the General Assembly.
