Over the past weeks, the OASIS project successfully completed a series of four transnational workshops designed to shape the future of digital well-being for young people and youth workers across Europe.
With the participation of over 40 experts (including psychologists, digital specialists, youth workers, educators, and NGO leaders) the workshops created an energising space for reflection, collaboration, and co-creation.
Each session focused on a key pillar of the OASIS mission:
- Exploring the realities of digital overload and social media habits among young people.
- Sharing tools and techniques for fostering healthier digital habits.
- Defining sustainable solutions that can scale across schools, youth centres, and digital platforms.
- Strengthening community ownership by leveraging the expertise of YMCA members and partners.
What made these workshops truly special was the active involvement of YMCA members from across Europe. Their experience in the field brought valuable perspectives to the table, reaffirming the YMCA network’s commitment to youth development and digital well-being.
“These sessions were not just about sharing ideas – they were about building something real and lasting,” said one participant. “We’re walking away with tools, connections, and a shared purpose.”
What’s Next?
With the workshop phase complete, the OASIS team is now moving into the next exciting chapter: turning insights into action.
The outcomes from these sessions will directly inform the development of:
- A practical training pack for youth workers
- A series of digital tools for mindful media use
- Advocacy materials to influence policy around digital wellness
We’re proud of this milestone and even more excited about what’s coming next. Stay connected, follow our journey, and be part of the movement for digital well-being.
