PRESS RELEASE: 5,000 young people inspired the YMCA and the world
YMCA Europe´s Festival “LOVE 2 LIVE” had its closing ceremony last Friday August 9th. The participants agreed to spread the unique experience that they had lived in Prague among their YMCA members and friends. The stories that they have lived in Prague will reach thousands more when they return home.

It gives me great pleasure to greet all of you, thousands of young Europeans, gathered in Prague for the YMCA Love 2 Live festival. You are looking ahead a week filled by activity and meetings with your friends across the continent. It is my hope and belief that these meetings and new friendships will enrich your lives, even beyond this week. I hope this week will strengthen you with an understanding of how we all, no matter where we come from, can live peacefully side by side, with compassion and empathy for others.

Peace Work Institute – Session 2
June 10 – 16 Peace Work Institute (PWI) Session 2 within YMCA Europe Roots for Reconciliation project took place in Yerevan (Armenia). The first session of the series was in October last year (Istanbul, Turkey), and the final one is scheduled in December this year to be held in the European Youth Centre Strasbourg (France).
