The General Assembly will take place in our renovated Training Centre in Litomysl (Czech Republic) from Thursday 29th. May until Sunday 1st. June.
This year´s General Assembly has the theme "Roots and Leaves III – Inclusive Christianity". After "Peace; Justice; Democracy" in 2012 and "Healthy Living" in 2013, this years theme refers to the third signature programme of our Strategy 2011-2016.
Key-note speakers will introduce the different elements of "Inclusive Christianity" and "table-talks" will give the opportunity to exchange experiences and to discuss with other participants.
Main questions during the discussions will be:
– What is inclusiveness for you ?
– How do you, in your YMCA, practice Inclusive Christianity and how does this influence the empowerment of young people ?
– How do you in your YMCA empower young people to be inclusive, respectful and relevant ?
This theme includes many aspects. We ask all participants to think about good examples and to share these at the General Assembly.
This year we will also have elections for 5 assessors of the Executive Committee and discussions about the sustainability of YMCA Europe.
There will be interest groups and side meetings about specific topics and enough opportunities for networking and sharing your activities in your YMCA.
