The event will bring thousands of YMCA young leaders, staff and volunteers from around the world to London from 4-8 August and now you will be able to enjoy much of the jam-packed programme. All plenary sessions, opening and closing ceremonies, and panels on environment, mental health and civic engagement will be included in the livestream schedule.

This opening celebration promises a high-energy start. Meet our dynamic hosts, who will guide you through the rest of the week. Expect to connect with people from across the world, through music, lights, flag bearers, and a high-profile welcome to London that celebrates our journey to this moment, 175 years in the making. Expect live performances and stories from young people around the world, as well as excerpts from Soul in the Machine. As we look to the days that lie ahead, the key issues and topics will be introduced, including the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The closing ceremony signals the end of YMCA175 as we reflect on the success of our global youth event, with excerpts from Soul in the Machine. It’s a chance to assess the key lessons that we have learnt which we can share with our communities on our return home, to bring about positive change. What’s more it’s an opportunity to affirm our commitment to our key pillars of work and the UN’s sustainable development goals. And it’s a chance to wish our peers, our associates, our mentors and our new-found friends farewell.
