Fitz Leitlein, the ETS Line Manager joined the conference and spoke about the work of the ETS planning group for the festival and led the work of the conference in this part. Pete Bürki, Creative Director of the festival talked about the overall concept and opportunities for Ten Sing groups to participate.
Further there was much work done to find new Focus Points for the ETS for the next 3 years. The conference worked along the experiences with the Focus Points from the past years, new expectations and the YMCA triangle. The outcome will soon be available on the ETS website and will hopefully affect the Ten Sing work throughout Europe. Stepan Cerny, Vice President of YMCA Europe, joined the conference to talk to the delegates about the YE structure and strategy as well as possibilities of getting project funding from the European Union.
For the last afternoon, the Czech hosting movement had prepared some local specialities, a sightseeing walk through the city of Prague and a boat tour. A karaoke-night made the delegates use one of the major creative performing arts in Ten Sing and brought a lot of music and fun to the event! The delegation from the Faroe Islands took the opportunity to win the unofficial title of "ETS’ Best Talent" with their performance…
Once more the ETS Conference was a very important and inspiring meeting to strengthen the Ten Sing Idea and the network among the movements across Europe. The ETS Executive are looking forward to having a colourful impact on the YE Festival this summer in Prague!
