The YES Board in association with YMCA England is happy to inform you that Youth in Action has approved our grant application for the first part of the Link It! Project, due to take place before and alongside YMCAs General Assembly in Manchester in May.
If your movement partnered our application and we kindly ask you to nominate participants from your country to attend this seminar as per the schedule below.
While YES is a fantastic platform to empower young people to take action on matters concerning them, it is also a fun and rewarding atmosphere where leaders can get inspired, learn from their peers and gain enthusiasm.
When choosing a candidate we ask you to keep in mind what a great opportunity it is to become a part of the YES group. We highly recommend you to use this seminar as a reward for hard working and passionate leaders within your movement. To become a part of the YES group can be really inspiring and the edge needed to make a good leader become a great one. Therefore we encourage you to choose a participant that shows promise and is enthusiastic about the YMCA. Please also keep in mind that there will be an element of the programme dedicated to training for the European Participants in the Change Agent programme.
We also like to point out that the Link It! Project is due to last for a whole year and therefore it would benefit the group and the project if your participant would be willing to commit to YES for that whole time, and even longer.
The grant from YiA will cover 70% of participants travel cost, up to a certain limit (see in table below). It also subsidises the participation fee and accommodation during the seminar, the additional cost per person is 185€ per person for the six days.
The Link it! Seminar will start on Monday May 6th and on the 10th it will join in under YMCA Europe’s General Assembly, taking place at the same location. We kindly ask you to nominate your candidate before the 31st of March, by having him or her fill out this registration form (participants should be between 18 and 30 yeaars of age):
Note that after the seminar is over, each participant that was involved is entitled to a Youth Pass from Youth in Action.
