In a rapidly changing digital world, leadership is no longer defined by position or authority, but by impact, connection, and purpose – the new Digital Leadership level at YMCA Kosovo is designed to equip young people with the skills, mindset, and values needed to lead effectively in today’s social and digital spaces.
YMCA Kosovo is proud to introduce this new leadership level as part of its ongoing Community Hubs and Signs of Hope project, which has already proven to be a big hit with young people.

Built within the framework of the well-established Kosovo Leadership Programme, the Digital Level responds to the growing need for digital literacy, critical thinking, and ethical leadership in an increasingly connected world.
The course was developed and curated by the national youth team and combines high-quality learning content from HP Life and Accenture’s Skills2Succeed Academy. Participants gain access to internationally recognised modules focused on digital skills, employability, entrepreneurship, communication, and problem-solving.

Through this learning journey, young people acquire practical knowledge that prepares them not only for the workforce, but also for active and meaningful participation in their communities.
What makes the Digital Course unique is its strong integration of digital learning with YMCA’s core leadership methodology. Participants are encouraged to reflect on how technology can be used as a tool for positive change, social impact, and community development.
The course supports young people in understanding their role as responsible digital citizens and leaders who act with empathy, integrity, and purpose.

Diona, a staff member from Prishtina YMCA, highlights that “the Digital Course serves as a new pathway for growth. Young leaders are challenged to apply their digital skills in real-life scenarios, collaborate with peers, and work at their own pace, which contributes to high completion rates.”
The pilot leadership level was launched after summer 2025, and already more than 30 young people have completed the three-month journey in Prishtina and Gjakova.

YMCA in Kosovo continues to adapt to the realities of today’s world while staying true to its mission of empowering young people to reach their full potential. This course is more than digital training; it is an investment in a new generation of leaders prepared to lead with innovation, integrity, and impact in both digital and real-world spaces, aligned with our Digital Equity initiative, powered by our strong partnership with HP.
