We are happy to announce that Mark Healy is running on behalf of YMCA Europe for election to the Board of the European Youth Forum.
Mark’s candidacy represents a significant step forward for the YMCA movement’s engagement at the European level, and we are confident that his values, experience, and commitment to young people make him an outstanding choice for this role.
Mark brings over ten years of experience in youth participation, advocacy, and programme design to his candidacy. Through his work with YMCA Ireland, he has designed and delivered impactful programmes on advocacy, climate justice, media literacy, and the Sustainable Development Goals, engaging young people from across Europe. His platform reflects a clear and principled vision: a stronger, more connected youth movement in which the European Youth Forum listens to its member organisations, communicates with transparency, and leads with integrity, inclusivity, and collaboration.
We firmly believe that the European Youth Forum is strengthened when its Board reflects the diversity and depth of the broader youth movement. Mark Healy embodies exactly that: a grounded, values-driven leader who understands the realities facing young people and the organisations that serve them. We invite you to learn more about Mark’s priorities and platform in his manifesto.
I am running for the Board of the European Youth Forum because I believe in a strong, connected youth movement where every organisation feels heard and empowered. My work has focused on strengthening youth voice at all levels, and I am committed to ensuring the Forum remains both a credible representative and a responsive space shaped by its members. – Mark Healy
