The two main objectives of this 2nd NGS Forum were to update the NGS´s about the YMCA-EU representation project seeking for further agreements on this strategic field of work and to share best practices, identifying relevant programmes among National Movements.
The draft of a Development Plan for the establishment of a YMCA Europe´s programme office in Brussels was presented and discussed among the participants.
11 programme initiatives that are being developed across Europe on the local and national levels were also presented during the Forum.
A summary of the evaluation of the Festival, an input by YMCA Europe´s President Ed Eggink, an update on the World Alliance of YMCAs Change Agents and One Million Voices projects and a presentation about the structure and programmes of YMCA Le Rocheton were some other highlights of this year´s Forum.
The NGS Forum consolidates its purpose as a key working platform within our structure in the frame of our Movement Strengthening approach. It has become a strategic annual meeting for YE´s Secretary General, Staff and Executive Committee as we implement the 2011-2016 plan.
