For the first time staff persons from World YMCA attended a Field Group meeting and gave an overview on the current global focus of the organisation. It was an enrichment that both umbrella organisations YMCA Europe and World YMCA were represented.
During the meeting the following main topics were discussed (amongst other):
– the extraordinary conditions for the YMCA work in Belarus
– partnerships as crucial tools for sustainability of YMCAs in Belarus
– common projects together with other National Movements in Eastern Europe
– YMCA Youth Centre Ponemontsy. The renovation work in 2016 made substantial progress and a new business plan will soon be available.
– Information on activities and plans for 2017 with special attention to the 2nd international festival "Razam 2" at the end of July 2017 in Ponemontsy.
