Phillip J. Denison, international volunteer and former World YMCA Executive Committee member (1998-2002) and Investment Committee member(2003-2011) , passed on September 22, 2014. Phil served the YMCA as a key volunteer in Hartford and with the YMCA of the USA.
He served on the Board of Directors in Hartford, Connecticut, chaired the International Programme Committee, on the Board of YMCA of the USA and chaired the International Committee. Phil was a founding partner with New England Capital Investments, Avon, CT.
Phil’s father was a YMCA professional who served as General Secretary of the YMCA in New Haven, CT, as a World Service worker with the YMCA in Egypt, and was instrumental in the founding of the YMCA in Ethiopia. His father Harold Denison worked with the World YMCA from 1963 to 1969.
Phil took part at several YMCA Europe General Assemblies and he was always very supportive to our initiatives and developments
