Following a competitive interview process that took place to recruit a new National General Secretary of YMCA Scotland, I am delighted to inform you that Mrs Kerry Reilly has been appointed as National General Secretary of YMCA Scotland effective from 5 January 2015.
Kerry Reilly, currently Chief Executive of YMCA Edinburgh, is already well known to many in YMCA Scotland and YMCA internationally. The interview panel and youth panel were excited by the ambition of Kerry to succeed Peter Crory and manage the operations of YMCA Scotland to build on the tremendous achievements and successes that have been achieved by our national team in recent years and have every confidence in Kerry realising this ambition.
Peter Crory will continue as National General Secretary for the remainder of 2014 and will be liaising with Kerry over the coming weeks to aid the transition and succession to ensure it is as seamless as practically possible. Peter has been an outstanding National General Secretary and I would encourage you to give thanks in prayer for his service since 2000 and to pray for both Peter and Pauline as they seek God’s will for their lives as they move to Northern Ireland.
It is a pleasure for me to share this positive news with you and to announce the appointment of Kerry Reilly as NGS and I would also encourage you to welcome, support and pray for Kerry as she takes up this crucial post in YMCA Scotland in 2015.
