The Council of Europe established May 5th as Europe Day. Also on May 9th the European Union celebrates our common achievements and the same date is also observed in a number of European nations under the denomination of Victory Day.
We, as YMCA celebrate the unity, solidarity and integration of all our social and cultural realities across the continent. As a civil society movement founded 176 years ago we are proud to continue contributing to unity among young people through our values and mission. It is a daily construction of Europe´s identity and we honor our volunteers and members of staff involved.
Our programmes and actions are an evidence of our impact on local, national and international levels. More than ever our message and solidarity is needed across Europe as we face the COVID-19 pandemic. Not leaving any of our YMCAs behind and guaranteeing its relevance is our common responsibility as European movement.
