The Executive Committee of YMCA Europe chaired by Ed Eggink intensively worked on its statutory issues, including YMCA Europe 2012 accounts and reports, budgets for 2013 and 2014, preparations for the Festival in Prague as well to our upcoming General Assembly in Manchester. Minutes of the meeting soon will be available on-line.
The Annual Movement Strengthening Conference (chaired by Stepan Cerny and Michal Szymanczak) gathered 22 persons and debated about the new approach to the movement strengthen work across Europe – with its pan-European, youth and transformative perspectives. On the photo below Marloes from the Netherlands and Birgir from Iceland during the Conference. Wonderful faces of YMCA Europe, right?
Thank you very much for all inspiring discussions during Conference. Special thanks to Juan Simoes, Jan Nissen, Beate Turck, Ed Eggink, Vardan Hambardzumyan, Cees Bremmer, Martin Winter, Silke Leitenberger, Adam Rychlik, Eva Tschornova and Sebastian Vogt for their introductory inputs before sessions!
A document with the results of the discussions during the Conference will also soon be available on-line, and already now we can announce that we are working on the booklet with the draft title ‘Ten Commandments to Movement Strengthening work in Europe’.
Movement Strengthening work across Europe always needs more individuals, organizations and movements – please remember about it! We count on your enthusiasm!
