The whole YMCA Europe family shares a very sincere message of condolences to Nina´s family, friends and to the Czech YMCA. We pray that God will give you the strength and peace in these sad moments.
Mike Will, YMCA Europe´s President wrote: “ I had the great privilege of being with Nina at the same working group at World Council in Thailand and her spirit, happiness and commitment were infectious and she was a great sister in Christ. At the time of the World Council I had a nerve problem with my upper back and Nina gave good advice from her experience as a physiotherapist! I attach a photograph of our group in Thailand which will be all the more significant to me now with the news of Nina’s passing into glory”
Stepan Cerny, our Vice President and also member of the Czech YMCA said: “I only hope that Nina is with the Lord in a much better place. We had a prayer session yesterday evening and we will light a candle tonight in her memory. I am sure she would have appreciated if you join us in spirit”.
Our Secretary General Juan Simoes Iglesias expressed the deepest condolences to Vojtech Ralek, Secretary General of the Czech YMCA, adding: “I was thrilled by Nina´s spirt, happiness and commitment. May God bless her and give strength to her family, her friends and all of you at the YMCA in Czech Republic”
YMCA Europe will continue honoring Nina Hustedova, highlighting her example as a young and committed YMCA leader, a Ten Singer, a Change Agent and a volunteer. Nina empowered and touched the lives of so many… She will always be remembered as a wonderful ambassador of our values.
