This event is a part of the project on movement strengthening, supported by YMCA USA. Olga Lukina, YMCA Europe Regional Assistant for Movement Strengthening and Project Management, was facilitating the meeting.
18 leaders of National and local YMCAs in Ukraine were elaborating the vision, main strategic priorities and objectives for the next 5 years. In spring 2016 the first draft of the document will be made and sent for discussion to all local organizations. After several rounds of adaptation the National Conference will discuss and approve the Strategy of YMCA Ukraine in autumn 2016.
The participants of the meeting on Strategic planning voiced that it was highly important to have this mutual process and elaborate the strategy together. It means that there will be more ownership in the process of implementation of the Strategic plan.
YMCA Ukraine paid attention to the strategies of YMCA Europe and World YMCA so there are no contradictions with them.
