12-17 October 2016 the first session of "Training the Trainers" happened for 28 representatives of the mentioned movements and Russian-speaking citizens and residents in Switzerland. This is a project organized by World YMCA with the involvement of trainers from YMCA Europe, YMCA Russia and YMCA Belarus.
The first session was devoted to discussion of education in five countries, importance and principles of non-formal education, "Inclusion" in educational programs, specifics of a training as an educational form, motivation, YMCA mission and history. The participants had an opportunity to present their YMCAs and National cultures, traditions.
The training has proved that there is a great leadership potential in these YMCAs. YMCAs of Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine has created a so-called "YMCA Europe Eastern Platform", which aims at movement strengthening and leadership development.
This event has become one more "brick" for building sustainably developing organizations working for the good of their communities.
