Vojtech joined YMCA in July 2015 after a thorough recruitment process. As a YMCA newcomer he could use his first six months to become acquainted with wonderful YMCA people, various activities, many local organizations, staff and processes.
He is an experienced man in his fifties with a long career path. After graduating at the University of Economics, Faculty of Commerce he started his career in one of the world’s IT leader companies IBM. Then he worked for several other IT companies, mainly in marketing positions. In 2004 he moved to the NGO sector, specifically to the field of humanitarian aid and development cooperation in Caritas Czech Republic. The last position held before joining YMCA was a senior consultant for training and personal development.
In his new role Vojtech sees two clear priorities: to strengthen visibility and publicity of YMCA throughout the country and to diversify financial resources that could be used for the core YMCA activities. For both he considers international YMCA environment very supportive.
