It is in the core of our mission and it is expressed throughout programmes and initiatives across Europe.
Today, World Refugee Day, is observed to bring attention to their collective struggle and to address the widespread global displacement of millions of people. Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Migrants are a socially relevant priority within YMCA Europe´s Strategy 2016-2020.
Using a social inclusion approach, we focus on providing short and long term responses to the increasing number of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Europe supporting the work of different local and national YMCAs in our continent. At YMCA Europe and the global YMCA, we are proud of representing a movement that was a pioneer in providing space and concrete answers to displaced persons. Today we continue doing it and our impact increases as this phenomenon extends across our continent.
