The World Health Organization and the Health Departments at the different countries continue monitoring the situation, analyzing the effects and providing valuable guidance according to each geographical context and the profile of each person.
As an international organization that represents a network in over 35 countries and more than 4,500 local communities, YMCA Europe shares the concern considering that mobility of our members, volunteers and staff across the continent and beyond is an important aspect of our work.
Therefore our Secretariat is monitoring the situation and its possible impact on the upcoming scheduled events (“Roots”, “Leadership Academy”, General Assembly).
The security and health of our participants and members is a priority for YMCA Europe and in case that there will be any change in the current situation, we will immediately inform all those involved.
Meanwhile, we will strictly follow the recommendations of the national health authorities in each of the countries that will host YMCA Europe events in the next weeks in coordination with our colleagues from the respective national YMCAs.
YMCA Europe continues to share messages of solidarity and support with YMCA colleagues from different European nations and other regions in the world, especially in Asia. Our prayers are with all affected by the disease.
