In the face of complex challenges, our movement continued to grow stronger, more united and more impactful. This report highlights the achievements of our members, partners, volunteers and staff who, together, brought positive change to communities across Europe.
In 2024, YMCA Europe reached over 2 million individuals through its programmes, partnerships and advocacy – a testament to our growing presence and commitment across the continent.
Working through 36 National Movements and over 3,150 local YMCA branches, our community of 95,000+ volunteers and 9,000 staff continued to deliver inclusive, youth-focused initiatives with tangible impact.
Key Highlights from 2024:
- 88,500+ refugees and IDPs supported through mental health, skilling and integration programmes.
- 150,000+ individuals engaged in digital and employability training via YMCA Digital Hubs.
- 50,000+ devices and 500 laptops distributed through partnerships with HP Inc.
- €1.145 million secured for peace and inclusion programmes through a multi-year grant from Brot für die Welt.
- Over 6,700 activities implemented for Ukrainian communities, focusing on trauma recovery, legal support, and empowerment.
With powerful backing from partners like Accenture, HP Inc, Bread for the World and the European Commission, YMCA Europe is scaling youth leadership, digital inclusion and peacebuilding in ways never seen before.
This report is not just about numbers – it’s about transformation. Behind every figure is a young person gaining confidence, a displaced family rebuilding, and a community growing stronger.
