Hundreds of members, volunteers and staff gathered in Bern and took part in a diverse program that included a vibrant service at Church Spiegel followed by a walk to Gurten, a hill with a breathtaking view over the city.
Music, presentations and a photo contest were followed by a traditional dinner. Oliver Berger (National General Secretary) and volunteers involved in different initiatives shared about the history and reality of YMCA-YWCA Switzerland.
Juan Simoes Iglesias, Secretary General, represented YMCA Europe at the celebration and encouraged the leadership and members of the Swiss movement to continue moving forward being a reference for their communities and among young people.
Roland Werner, National General Secretary of YMCA Germany also brought congratulations from Germany, sharing an inspiring message with all participants.
