Therefore, The First YMCA Europe Fundraising Conference held in Dunford, UK on November 16 – 18, 2010 was particularly significant. A big variety of country representatives attending – 28 delegates from 16 countries highlighted how important fundraising is for the development and sustainability of YMCA movements in entire Europe.
The conference was facilitated by YMCA England Fundraising Team. YMCAs across UK have extensive experience in fundraising and learning from their best practices was very supportive. The conference also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and sharing skills and experiences from various European YMCA movements.
The location of the Conference – Dunford House was an extra motivation for all participants. This beautiful house, situated in charming and serene location, was donated to YMCA England as an endowment in appreciation of its great work and dedication – a great example to all of YMCAs that our commitment and hard work can and will be rewarded.
