France has welcomed 3 new Digital Hubs in 2026: YMCA Alsace in Strasbourg (equipped with 12 devices focusing on foundational digital literacy), YMCA Le Rocheton in La Rochette (14 devices providing essential digital training), and YMCA Nova in Paris (10 devices featuring e-sports, the HP Gaming Garage, and HP LIFE courses).
Meanwhile, in Setúbal, Portugal, a new dedicated Gaming Hub equipped with 20 high-performance devices was launched, utilising e-sports and gamified learning as an innovative bridge to re-engage youth in formal digital skill-building, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Strategic Hubs in Southern and Central Europe: Scaling Community Impact
Expanding access to underserved areas has driven major developments across Southern and Central Europe. Italy leads the 2026 expansion with 13 new Digital Hubs, including a core hub at YMCA Siderno and 12 community-centred hubs established across the Benevento region in collaboration with Consorzio Sale della Terra.
In Malta, the opening of the EQUA Digital Hub alongside local facilities in Valletta provides 45 devices dedicated to AI training, employability, and technology literacy.
In Bucharest, Romania, the new CompassHub (driven by Young Initiative with 15 devices) serves as a regional anchor, offering local NGOs, educators, and young job seekers state-of-the-art training facilities and tailored HP LIFE modules.
Strengthening Local Pathways in the United Kingdom
Across the United Kingdom, 4 new Digital Hubs were launched in 2026 to address localised digital exclusion and support job seekers.
Three of these hubs were established through the YMCA Trinity Group, expanding accessible technology and career mentorship services across local communities. Additionally, YMCA Worcestershire integrated a new hub space dedicated to building digital confidence among young residents, connecting technical skill acquisition with real-world employment support and practical coaching.
