The visit to Madrid of Mario Cenci, Secretary General of YMCA Argentina ended with several high level institutional visits hosted by our Secretary General Juan Simoes Iglesias.
At the Spanish Parliament (Congreso de los Diputados), Mario was received by Member of Parliament Mr. Javier Merino who facilitated a conversation about the bicameral system within the Spanish Parliament, the reality and impact of the YMCA in Argentina, Latin America, Spain and Europe with a special focus on youth development.

At the Embassy of the Republic of Argentina in Madrid, Mario Cenci was hosted by SEI Minister Mr. Sebastián Laino who was updated about the programmes, social commitment and youth focused initiatives of YMCA Argentina, one of the largest, oldest and more recognised movements in Latin America, founded in Buenos Aires in 1902.

These institutional external visits were planned in coordination with YMCA Spain and included meetings at the national office in Madrid and the programmes in Zaragoza, which provided our colleague Mario a detailed overview of the reality and impact of the national movement, reinforcing the long lasting and fruitful relation between both associations.
