The IPF was designed as the exchange of the best experience within the YMCA “Healthy Life” programme offer. The outstanding methods of HIV/AIDS early prophylaxis worked out by the Eastern Region was one of the reasons why The YMCA Ukraine was asked to be the hosting movement.
Besides the “Healthy Life” the elements of such programme ares as “Peace and Reconciliation” and “Inclusive Christianity” were strongly emphasized at the event.
Around 280 participants from 20 countries took part in the IPF. They came from Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Kosovo, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the USA. The YMCA Europe was represented by the Secretary General, Juan Simoes Iglesias, Deputy Secretary General – Micha? Szyma?czak and the field staff members who work with particular YMCA Europe Regions.
