We are on a mission of accelerating digital equity with HP, and our initiatives of connecting with local organisations in Belgium have been a great step forward in our journey, especially when working with incredibly committed organisations like Close the Gap Circular.
This September, we had the pleasure of connecting with Peter Manderick, General Manager at Close the Gap and his colleague Leen Jongbloet, Project Coordinator, at the CTG Circular deposit in Kontich.
Close the Gap is an international social enterprise that aims to bridge the digital divide by providing high-quality, pre-owned IT devices donated by companies and government institutions to educational, medical and social projects in developing and emerging countries.
Thus, the team is operating in various areas worldwide, especially in Africa, it is a great chance for us to join forces and make a difference through the generous donation of computer peripherals donated by HP.
This opportunity has been a fantastic chance for our team to connect, and understand the processes behind the distribution of the HyperX devices, as well as the strategy and operational plan of Close the Gap. And what is more important, it has been a great chance to understand their organisational culture, and determination to truly make a difference and partner towards accelerating digital equity.
Our HyperX donation of 2,800 devices is now on its way or has already reached vulnerable communities worldwide, and it has been a great chance to connect with the incredible implementation team based in Belgium.
We are grateful for having the chance to build sustainable partnerships in the field of digitalisation and grow together – here are some insights from our visit!
