Young people took the lead and spotlight the PulseZ local Event organised by YMCA Thessaloniki, Greece, in a vibrant imitative, by iconic White Tower square, on May 3rd.
The 17th edition of Play – Act MotiON, organized under the umbrella of PulseZ Platform, brought together hundreds of young people who didn’t just plan the day—they owned it. The event encompassed a dynamic hub of youth creativity, civic expression, and joyful participation – showcasing the opportunities for content creation, journalism and youth voices platform of PulseZ.
From early in the morning until the afternoon, the square pulsed with activities: games, performances, workshops, discussions, media creations, and powerful moments of human connection. Thousands of people of all ages passed by, stayed, engaged, and ultimately became part of a movement that gives youth the space to shape their own narratives.
“Play – Act MotiON vol.17” was not just an event. It was a living example of what PulseZ stands for: giving young people the tools, the space, and the support to speak up and be heard.
As a European youth media initiative, PulseZ empowers young journalists, content creators, and community contributors to produce meaningful, ethical, and engaging content across formats—from social media to podcasts, investigative articles to street interviews.
“Play – Act MotiON vol.17” offered young people a powerful platform to express their views on Europe’s future, local issues, and key challenges like inclusion, mental health, sustainability, and peace—through media, art, and storytelling.
What made it truly unique was the full ownership by youth, who led every aspect of the event’s design and execution. With guidance from mentors, they created a safe, inclusive, and festive space where creativity thrived and young voices were not only heard but celebrated.
As we reflect on this unforgettable day, we are reminded of the power of youth when they are trusted, trained, and given a chance to lead.
