YMCA North Macedonia’s HP LIFE courses have seen great success, engaging students from almost every primary and secondary school in their city.
Since March, the digital center has consistently facilitated these activities, with a brief dip in attendance during the summer holidays. Luka, a regular attendee at the Youth Center in Bitola, has benefited from these courses, gaining new knowledge and skills from the platform.
“I want to say that I am satisfied with these courses because now is the modern age where everyone needs to have an understanding of technology, online business, and many other things. I am very grateful to the YMCA for putting out the call for HP courses because they are very useful for the younger ones, I have been taking these courses for a while now and I can say that I like and use them a lot. I also want to praise Natasha Darkov, who is our educator and is always ready to explain and explain a part of the course that is not clear to us. I am sharing this course with my friends and classmates that it is beneficial and I hope they will like it because it is beneficial at this time. In the future, I plan to study all courses of which I would single out the marketing topic as the most useful.”
Digital Community Hubs in the West Balkans is a YMCA initiative, powered by HP to accelerate digital equity in the regions, by helping YMCAs in Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, and North Macedonia to expand existing or create new digital community hubs.
The project aims to expand existing digital hubs and create new ones to enable young people, including those from marginalized communities, teachers, and youth workers, to access greater opportunities for education and employment.
