YMCA England is pleased to announce the appointment of Denise Hatton as its National Secretary and CEO.

We are delighted to inform that Peter Posner has been created n Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen´s Birthday Honours List.

At the End of May YMCA European Championship was held in Malmö, Sweden. 600 participants from seven european countries played about 80 matches in Basketball, Handboll and Volleyball. Over 100 matches were played in Tabletennis.

DEN DOLDER, 24 May 2013 – Hans Klopper (54) from Leersum has been appointed General-Secretaryof the YMCA of The Netherlands starting August 1st., 2013. Klopper succeeds Cees Bremmer who will enjoy his well-deserved retirement starting July 1st..

The George Williams Youth Association, known internationally as the YMCA in kosovo applied for a small grant from the UNDP in Kosovo. Youth from Gjakova spent the afternoon planting 20 pine trees in two high schools.

A YMCA multifunctional office in the centre of Backy Petrovac, a village near Novi Sad in Serbia and the tennis courts of a Sarajevo sports club in Bosnia, have become references for youth, children and families in both communities. These two recently founded YMCAs in the Balkans led by young leaders are the most visible expression of our youth empowerment in action approach.
