The “YMCA Leadership Academy: Global Leaders for Local Communities” project is supported by the European Youth Foundation and it was meant to start in March 2020.
We are proud to share with you some highlights of YMCA Europe in 2020. This is a brief summary of the many efforts that we have collectively done to remain relevant, adding value to the excellent work of the YMCA at local, regional and national levels.

“Leadership Academy” Project is a tool of YMCA Europe, created to assist YMCA National Movements and to empower young people to take action as active citizens, equipping them with skills so they can promote social change and strengthen their movements as bearers of democratic values and change-makers.
YMCA Europe hosted a meeting of International Secretaries representing National Movements with specific international departments and staff assigned to this field or International Development Cooperation organizations connected with the YMCA.
Under Germany’s joint Presidency of the European Union and the Council of Europe, around 1,000 participants gathered online for the 3rd European Youth Work Convention.
A new Executive Committee was elected under the Presidency of Emma Osmundsen from YMCA England & Wales.
Volunteers Day : One person can contribute to positive change
YMCA Malta has been always active in the field of ‘homelessness’ providing sheltered accommodation and care programme to homeless individuals, families, and children.
