It’s mY story – Roots for Reconciliation Programme Festival
August 23 – 29, in Shushi (Nagorno Karabagh) the first programme festival – ProFest – was held within the YMCA Europe Roots for Reconciliation project. ‘It’s mY story’ was the motto of this ProFest with an overall aim to promote stronger youth activism towards peaceful transformation of conflicts in Europe, the region of South Caucasus especially considered.

YMCA World Urban Network meets in Madrid, Spain
More than 70 CEO´s and General Secretaries from YMCAs in North and Latin America, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe met in Madrid from July 17th to the 22nd . The YMCA World Urban Network (WUN) is a platform of urban General Secretaries/Chief Executive Officers “dedicated to improving their personal leadership and impact of the YMCA on their communities by sharing knowledge and expertise with their world colleagues”. The conference was led by Peter Burns, Chair of the WUN and CEO Bill Stewart.

YMCA Scotland wins top Charity Award
YMCA Scotland took top prize in the Children and youth category at The Charity Awards 2012. Writer and comedian Steve Punt and artist Stik presented the winner’s trophy to Mike Will MBE and Peter Crory, at a glittering ceremony on Thursday 14 June at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
YES Seminar 2012
The YMCA in Czech Republic organized a 6-days partnership-building activity with more than 35 young people from 20 different countries. Countries taking place in the activity were from the EU as well as its partner countries, Southeastern Europe and Eastern Europe. The activity took place in May 2012 in Prague, Czech Republic.
