Although February marked another month of reduced possibilities to move for many of us in Europe, the work of YMCA Europe continued focusing on the relevant items that you will read in the newsletter. Our key aim is to add value to our national YMCAs.
We are pleased to share with you some highlights of YMCA Europe in 2020. This is a brief summary of the many efforts that we have collectively done to remain relevant, adding value to the excellent work of the YMCA at local, regional and national levels.
Organized by YMCA Europe´s Working Group on Refugees, the purpose of the Conference was to highlight the work that YMCAs develop with refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and internally displaced persons.
The Movement Strengthening Committee of YMCA Europe is initiating a fellowship network “YMCA Europe Property Development Network Group”
The month of January has represented a very important and busy phase in the work of the Brussels office: more processes are starting in youth policy and funding programmes, and this is our moment of analysis of opportunities and planning of actions, hoping to be even more relevant and effective than before.
The year 2020 was particularly challenging for the work of all youth NGOs in Brussels: meetings were not possible anymore in person, nor conferences or regular interactions with decision makers. Nevertheless the Brussels Office of YMCA Europe was able to continue its work, and took on several new items on the agenda.
